Do you have issues with BDMV directories from disks with BD+ using this method with Makemkv? I'm not going to speculate on their method or what they do to the BDMV directory after ripping to a hard drive. Are they using imgburn to recreate an ISO? I don't know, all I know is I have zero issues with this method, BD+ or not, per your own post you said ripping to BDMV works "great" for you so if it works for me, and works for you, then there is something else going on if the poster I replied to has issues with BD+, maybe a setting as it sounds like the copyright protection, no matter what flavor, is fully being removed. The poster I replied to didn't say if they were doing anything after using Makemkv to Rio to BDMV. If you hit the pop up menu button there is an extra "open" option to browse the directory but if you just choose it then you get prompted for menu's or lite just like an ISO file.Ĭlick to expand.I read what you wrote. A special engine helps to ensure smooth playback of the entire movie w/o any audio/video interruptions even when playing movies with complicated structure.ĮDIT forgot to add that it shows up as an ISO file. Movie ISO/folder structures can be played from any source - local drive (USB, SATA) or network drive (SMB, NFS). Realtek-based Dune HD media players have the best-in-class support for playback of movie ISO/folder structures, including full support for 4K, 3D, HD audio. Good thing is Dune plays it like a disk without the extra step of having to convert the BDMV directory back into an ISO file which is kind of a hassle for little to no gain unless you backup to optical disks, at least IMO.īest-in-class movie ISO/folder structure playback I wish Makemkv allowed doing this directly to an ISO file but only decrypted BDMV directory without remuxing. With Dune it sees the BDMV folder structure just like an ISO file so when chosen, you get prompted for full or lite, choose full like an ISO file and you get full menus. I don't do anything else, full menus and no DRM. m2ts files in the resulting BDMV\STREAM folder. Have you tried just the decrypted BDMV folder?Backup to copy the Blu-ray folder structure to your hard drive, resulting in decrypted.
